ICICI Bank Money2India Review

I had and still having a very bad experience with money2India. I heard about it from one of my friend and thought that lets give it a try. So I created the account on 4th June 07, As per the process I waited for 5-7 days for the sub dollar transactions which they say they do into my local account. I recieved an email also stating that the bank has done some transactions to my account. However I didn’t see any transactions into my account. I checked up physically as well with my local bank. So I discussed the case with their customer care center, they told me that they have opened up a service request for me and they will do something. I again recieved an email on 19th June from ICICI NRI, stating that they have initiated few transactions to my account, I again waited till 23-24th June and checked up with local bank as well. There were no such transactions done to my account. I spoke to many customer care executives (Santosh, Swagatam etc.) and again they gave me the same stuff, they opened up another case. I am still following up with them. On 7th July they again opened up a case.
The process which they say takes 3-4 days has taken so far 40 + days for me. Customer care does not have response for u. All they can do is creating service requests for u. Which is not at all helpful for you as a customer. The team which they refer as processing team is not accessible to you, so you dont have any option to talk to them. Can somebody tell me then why the hell these customer care people are sitting there when they don’t have any answer.
And they don’t transfer the call to their superiors, when asked to do so. Is it purposefully or thats the only staff ICICI has.
The most wonderfull thing happened today, In the morning I saw few sub dollar transactions done to my account. My eyes were so happy to see so (I can’t tell you). And I entered the amount as told by them in their emails into the fields which comes up when you want to validate the amount. I entered correct data but the accound gots locked/disabled.
I dont know with what data they matched the data I entered (As they did couple of transactions , as per them in last 40 days). Now I told this to one of the customer care executive and she told me that she is going to open up a case and they will re initate the transactions again.
I know few people are using it and it is going gud. But you can be like me. Just imagine if something like this happens when you are transferring your hard earned money, staying away from your family.
This options if works could save you some money, but its definetly a lot of pain. Its better to rely on Western union (as it is the most reliable source of money transfer at the moment)
